About Chris
I received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara where I studied Jungian and Depth Psychotherapy. I also received training in Archetypal/Imaginal Psychology, Geropsychology & Long-Term Care, and Dream-Work. My experience working with end-of-life content in hospice and with the caregivers of patients diagnosed with dementia deepened my appreciation for the function of meaning-making in times of uncertainty and underscored the benefit of exploring existential queries.
I have post-graduate training in Applied Mythology with deep educator Craig Chalquist, PhD, and recently completed a post-graduate program at my alma mater, Pacifica Graduate Institute, focused on Finding Ourselves in Fairytales with Sharon Blackie - a renowned investigator of the mythic imagination and the mythic feminine. I frequently employ mythic framework and sensibilities into sessions with my clients. My use of dream-work, myth, folklore, symbol, and imagery are representative of the tools of Depth psychotherapy that facilitate connecting to the vital force present inside each of us.
